Power Plant Operations & Maintenance – Level 1

Duration: 2–3 days (online / blended)
Level: Beginner–Intermediate

You will learn:

Fundamentals of thermal and combined-cycle power plants
Energy conversion, efficiency, and heat rate
Major systems: gas turbine, steam turbine, HRSG, condenser, pumps, cooling systems
Control room operations and basic troubleshooting
Daily O&M routines, logs, and shift handover

Best for: Fresh graduates, junior engineers, plant operators, and professionals transitioning into power generation.

Combined Cycle Power Plant – Operations Overview

Duration: 2 days
Level: Intermediate

You will learn:

Simple vs combined-cycle configurations
Gas turbine + HRSG + steam turbine integration
Startup and shutdown sequences
Operating constraints and performance monitoring
Typical alarms, trips, and operator responses

2. Gas Turbine Maintenance Programs

Gas Turbine Maintenance – CI / HGPI / Major Overhaul

Duration: 3 days
Level: Intermediate–Advanced

You will learn:

Gas turbine components and functions
Scope of work for CI, HGPI, and Major Overhaul
Job planning, man–hours, tools, lifting plans, and scaffolding
Critical inspections, clearances, and acceptance criteria
Typical failure modes and case studies from the field

Best for: Mechanical maintenance engineers, planners, supervisors, and outage coordinators.

3. Steam Turbine & Balance-of-Plant (BoP)

Steam Turbine Operation & Maintenance – Essentials

Duration: 2 days

You will learn:

Steam cycle basics and steam turbine components
Governing system, bearings, seals, and valves
Start-up, loading, and shutdown practices
Vibration, temperature, and condition monitoring
Typical issues: water induction, rubbing, efficiency loss

Pumps, Compressors & Auxiliary Systems

Duration: 1–2 days

You will learn:

Pump types and selection (centrifugal, positive displacement)
Seals, bearings, and lubrication
Cooling water and closed cooling systems
Air compressors and instrument air systems
Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting

4. Commissioning & Project Handover

Mechanical Commissioning of Power Plants

Duration: 3 days

You will learn:

Pre-commissioning checks and punch-list management
Flushing, air blowing, water flushing and steam blowing basics
Static and rotating equipment checklists
Loop checks, functional tests, and interlock verification
Documentation, dossiers, and handover to operations

5. Reliability, Data & Analytics

Reliability & Condition Monitoring – Introduction

Duration: 1–2 days

You will learn:

Maintenance strategies (Breakdown, Preventive, Predictive, RCM)
Basic vibration, temperature, and oil analysis concepts
Failure reporting and root cause analysis (RCA)
How data improves reliability and reduces forced outages

Power BI for Maintenance & Plant Reporting (Coming Soon)

You will learn:

Basics of data modelling for maintenance
Building dashboards for outages, KPIs, and spares
Visualizing downtime, MTBF, and reliability metrics
